Stoke Prior Primary School Choir entered Hereford Performing Arts Festival on Friday.  Organised by Encore Enterprises this festival is an opportunity for a range of individuals and groups to perform and demonstrate their skills for audiences across Herefordshire.

Stoke Prior School Choir, one of the smallest in the competition entered two classes. They achieved a Bronze in the upper Primary Choir competition and a Gold award in the Hymn / Worship / Sacred Song competition.

The choir won their Gold award with a score of 89, a good distinction, with performances of two songs: Who Put the Colours in the Rainbow and O Lord Hear my Prayer.

In Judging the contest Maria Jagusz said "What a beautiful solo you used your breath so beautifully... I thought you captured the mood beautifully... Congratulations this was an excellent performance"

As Stoke Prior is such a small school the choir is formed from children aged 6 to 11. The Choir is lead by Mrs Lorna Firth a Governor at the school and assisted by Kath Ainsworth on the Piano.

TCAT would like to thank Mrs Firth and the children of Stoke Prior for representing their school and our trust so well, many congratulations to them all, we are very proud of them
